King/Weaver kick off JV season with strong performance on the mound in 1-0 shutout over Warwick
by Adam Gegg · Published · Updated
On this brisk Wednesday afternoon, the Manheim Township JV team took the field for the first time this season and came away with a 1-0 victory in a tight match-up with their neighbors to the north. Township had some life in the early innings thanks to a lead off double from newcomer Ryan Flury in the top of the 2nd. Jesus Perez was sent in to pinch run before Fisher Druck earned a walk to put men on 1st and 2nd. The Blue Streaks loaded the bases on an infield error off a JT Weaver ground ball before Max Proulx earned his first RBI in a JV uniform with a bases-loaded walk to score Perez.
