Three runs in the top of the 3rd and 5th innings was enough for Township to secure the 14-9 victory. With only 4 hits on the day, Manheim Township did a lot of their damage on the base paths with walks. The team combined for 14 walks to bring those 14 runs across the plate. Sam Emge, Evan Clark, Dylan King, and Drew Sassaman were the only Blue Streaks to pick up a hit in this game.

The wintry conditions made for tough pitching outings for both teams. Jake Schaefer got another start for the JV Streaks and combined with Clark for the team win in 5 innings. Multiple errors on both teams also contributed to the mayhem. The Blue Streaks now are 3-1 on the 2018 season.

Next Game: Township will travel with varsity to Hempfield on Tuesday (4/10) for a makeup game from last week. Game starts at 4:15.
